The Most Weather Sensitive Bug

What do we want to know about the weather to come? Mostly it’s the condition and the temperature. Depending on your living place, you may also be concerned about special conditions like thunderstorms or fires.

The app covers it all. Its home screen displays the current temperature and conditions for your location. If you scroll down, you’ll see the wind info, air quality rate, nearest fire and lightning centres, sunrise and sunset time and Moon phase.

To see the hourly or daily forecast, just swipe or tap these tabs. The app offers an hourly forecast for the next week (though the further you look, the less precise is the forecast). The 10-day forecast is less detailed and thus more reliable.

Multiple locations are supported too. You can select the one you need in a special menu on top of the screen.

Finally, the app has its own map supporting multiple levels. It can display current temperature and conditions in your vicinity, as well as specific conditions like storms,  thunderstorms, lightning, pressure, air quality, humidity, dew point, precipitation, and so on.

It also features an extension for Apple Watch, showing temperature and conditions for the day, nearest alerts, current wind state, and UV level. To swap locations you only need to swap horizontally.

Set Up for You

In Settings, you can personalize the experience by adding locations, selecting the units you prefer, and set up notifications. FAQ section in the menu behind the left edge helps you to know more about the app. All that you couldn’t find in this Weatherbug review can be found here.

To remove the ads, you’ll have to subscribe for $2.99/yr. The developers are polite enough to explain their policy on ad choices in a separate section. Thanks.

Not As Buggy as the Name

The app proved quite reliable, the forecasts correct, and the interface easy. If you need something better than the pre-installed weather app, download Weatherbug, and probably it will get your needs covered.
